The celebration last October inaugurating Larchmont’s first artificial turf athletic field, and the renovation of surrounding Flint Park, MI was the culmination of years of work by local politicians, athletic groups and individual volunteers.
It also was a disappointment for some of the park’s neighbors, who preferred the grass and trees that the turf field replaced, said Marnie Foster-Marks, representative to the Village Board for the Flint Park Neighborhood Association.
