In an effort to conserve one of Southern Nevada’s most valuable resources, UNLV is also saving millions of dollars a year by replacing grass with drought tolerant xeriscape and conserving water.
UNLV is faced with tough budget cuts and the university’s facilities management department is playing a big role in saving money by converting turf landscape to desert-like xeriscape around the campus.
