The Synthetic Turf Council (STC) announced the election of Donna Kent to its Board of Directors. Kent joins the STC Board of Directors with over 20 years of marketing experience, and 12 years of dedicated service to the synthetic turf industry.
“I’m excited and honored to join the STC board,” said Kent. “The synthetic turf market is growing and thriving, while also facing challenges that affect the entire industry. I’m looking forward to helping the synthetic turf market advance to the next level.”
Kent is the marketing director for ForeverLawn, Inc., which is an active member of the STC, and a company that has pioneered many innovative offerings in the synthetic turf market. The inventors of Playground Grass™ and K9Grass®, ForeverLawn forged new market segments in the playground and pet industries in which many turf companies operate today. Kent has been a key driver of the company’s partnership with DuPont, which brings a superior landscaping product to market with a well-respected brand behind it.

A passionate business leader and published author of numerous industry-related articles, Kent formerly served as programs chair on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners, and was a founding member of the Albuquerque Business Board. She has served as Chair of the STC PR and Marketing Committee for the past five years, and is also a long-time member of the American Marketing Association.
Prior to joining the synthetic turf industry in 2005, Kent owned and operated a marketing consulting firm, DKMarketing, for 16 years. With a focus on elevating and promoting the image and public awareness of her clients through her work in graphic design, marketing, writing, and public relations, Kent worked with hundreds of firms and non-profit organizations to create award-winning corporate identity and marketing campaigns.
In the synthetic turf industry, Kent has contributed to a growing acceptance of synthetic turf in landscape and recreation sectors through valuable celebrity endorsements from Jessica Alba, Jason Cameron, Kristen Bell, and others. With their wide appeal and reach, these celebrities have helped to raise awareness of the benefits of synthetic turf, and bring attention to the many ways that synthetic turf can enhance people’s active lifestyles.
