Bingham Equipment, an Arizona equipment dealer serving customers since 1955, has become an authorized Arizona dealer for Ecorobotix and its ALBA AI-powered precision turf sprayer.
Designed specifically for managed turf, ALBA uses artificial intelligence and high-resolution cameras to identify weeds in real time and precisely target them while minimizing treatment of healthy turf.
For sports field managers, the technology provides a new approach to turf spraying by allowing products to be applied precisely where they are needed rather than uniformly across an entire playing surface.

ALBA uses a vision system and artificial intelligence to scan turf as the machine moves across the field. The system identifies targeted weeds and activates individual spray nozzles to treat them while avoiding areas that do not require treatment.
The machine features 108 precision nozzles and can deliver spot applications as small as 1.2 x 1.2 inches. The system can operate at speeds of up to 4.4 mph and has a working width of approximately 7.2 feet.
According to Ecorobotix, ALBA can reduce chemical use and associated costs by up to 95 percent, depending on the application and field conditions. The system can be used for targeted applications of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, fertilizers and other turf products.
ALBA also provides detailed application data. Using RTK GPS technology, the system can create application maps and reports following a spraying operation, giving turf professionals a record of where products were applied.
The system attaches to a tractor and uses a 540-rpm PTO connection. Operators control the system through a tablet interface while ALBA’s vision and spraying systems perform the precision application process.
