Nabozny, the Tigers' head groundskeeper, and her staff paid extra attention to sculpturing the pitching mounds on the field and in the bullpens at Comerica Park, stenciled the official postseason logos onto the turf and double-cut the outfield grass. She said the perpendicular mowing formed aesthetically pleasing rectangles for television viewers and tighter play for fielders. "It's like vacuuming twice," she added.
