Rain Bird Services Corporation announced the dates and locations of its 2012-2013 Rain Bird Academy training season. Rain Bird Academy classes provide expert training on the installation, maintenance and design of irrigation systems. Because these classes are non-manufacturer-specific, there’s never a product sales pitch or promotion.
In addition to its long list of individual irrigation training courses, Rain Bird Services Corporation will also offer its popular Irrigation Boot Camps at Rain Bird Academy event locations. Boot Camps consist of four days of intensive irrigation training that provide a solid foundation for future business success.
“Individuals who participate in a Rain Bird Academy Landscape Irrigation Boot Camp event receive extensive and comprehensive technical training on irrigation installation, troubleshooting and design,” said Robert Pfeil, services marketing group manager for Rain Bird Services Corporation. “Boot Camps are not about selling Rain Bird irrigation products; rather, they’re squarely focused on helping contractors gain additional revenue-generating advantages over their competition.”
According to Jeremy Mansell, senior technical trainer for Rain Bird Services Corporation, all Rain Bird Academy classes include time for hands-on training. “Many of the people in the green industry learn more by doing and not just by listening,” Mansell said. “That’s why we spend so much time engaging each class in hands-on activities. We send pallets of irrigation products and equipment to every class location to ensure that attendees are familiar with the types of materials they’ll be using professionally out in the field.”
Rain Bird Academy instructors have spent years developing and refining their courses to deliver the highest level of irrigation training available in the market today. Each instructor is knowledgeable about the products offered by most major irrigation manufacturers as well as the latest irrigation techniques.
“Our instructors take their work seriously by following a carefully designed curriculum and allotting a significant amount of time during each class to answer questions,” Pfeil added. “Many companies continue to send their employees to Rain Bird Academy training events year after year. I think that proves that we’re delivering the training that today’s green industry professionals demand.”
Attendees of Rain Bird Academy classes are eligible to earn continuing education units (CEUs) from professional organizations such as the Irrigation Association (IA), United States Green Building Council’s LEED Program, PLANET, Landscape Architectural Continuing Educational System and many state and local organizations.
For years, Rain Bird Academy’s Professional and Regional Training Camps have helped irrigation and landscape professionals expand their skill sets and increase their marketability within the green industry.
