Liability concerns have forced the Edmond School District in Oklahoma to close its high school athletic fields to the public for the rest of the summer. The district said it has experienced several vandalism incidents, and leaders worry that things could get worse if they don’t restrict access.


The district has seen hurdles broken and fences damaged since summer began. That’s why the only people allowed to use the track at Edmond Santa Fe High School are those associated with the district.
