Jacksonville Jaguars EverBank Stadium

Jacksonville Jaguars Stadium of the Future

The City of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Jaguars have partnered to transform EverBank Stadium. Transforming the stadium and enhancing the existing structure is the most sustainable and environmentally friendly way to provide the Jaguars, the Florida-Georgia game, and the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl with a home that will provide a state-of-the-art fan experience. It will also enhance the ability to attract other events, such as soccer games and concerts.

Construction is scheduled to be complete in August 2028. The Jaguars will still play at home for the 2026/27 NFL seasons, keeping as many games as possible in Jacksonville. Fans will have the ability to see progress when attending games during these NFL seasons. The transformation of this city-owned asset will benefit Jacksonville and the region.

Key features include:

  • Protective canopy: A next-generation transparent protective shell will provide sun, wind and rain protection, reducing heat retention by 70+ percent.
  • Wider concourses: 360-degree concourses, four times wider than existing spaces, provide convenient and safer movement of sports, entertainment and special events patrons.
  • New communal spaces: First-class interactive social bars, local food options and retail venues in communal spaces for all fans.
  • Scenic lookout decks: Lookout decks offering skyline and river views.
  • New seating types: Increased seating options, including premium offerings from field to sky.
  • Special event capacity: Flexible seating capacity from 63,000+ to expand up to 70,000.
  • Immersive in-bowl tech: A transformative environment creating distinctive event experiences through lighting and digital technology.
  • Nature park: A public subtropical Floridian nature park will be available for visitors and residents year-round to the elevated midlevel of the stadium on event days.

HOK recently unveiled the interior design for the stadium, which will transform the venue into a flexible, year-round destination that deepens fan connections to the team and community.

At the heart of the design is a 360-degree concourse — four times wider than before — lined with destination bars, food markets and grab-and-go concessions that reduce wait times and keep fans close to the action. Premium clubs, suites and terraces offer curated fan experiences with bespoke materials, bold lighting and luxurious furnishings that elevate game days while honoring the Jaguars’ jungle spirit.

The interiors celebrate Jacksonville’s natural and cultural landmarks, weaving the city’s identity into every detail. Rippled, reflective ceilings in lounges recall the St. Johns River and Atlantic coastline, while lighting sconces nod to the city’s historic streetlamps. Rounded design elements reference the rivets of nearby bridges and legacy shipyards. A palette of teal, dark blues, gold, bronze and warm wood finishes reinforces the team’s brand, while coastal-inspired patterns mimic the sea life found along Florida’s shores.

The stadium’s flexible design can host everything from NFL games to concerts, soccer matches and international events. The seating bowl holds 63,000 fans and can expand to 71,500 for marquee games like the Florida-Georgia college football rivalry or large-scale concerts.

Removable corner seating and fencing for field level suites and hospitality spaces allow the stadium to transform for soccer games and concerts. Integrated lighting and digital technology create distinctive atmospheres for each occasion. South-side clubs accommodate guests attending events at the adjacent Daily’s Place amphitheater, further expanding the stadium’s event capabilities.
