AstroTurf Corporation and the LA Galaxy announced a new marketing partnership making AstroTurf the official synthetic turf and hybrid turf partner of the club.
The agreement, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, builds on the success of AstroTurf’s existing partnership with Dignity Health Sports Park, home of the LA Galaxy and a collection of venues for other competitions including lacrosse, rugby, tennis and boxing, among others.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for AstroTurf to boost our brand awareness and demonstrate our commitment to soccer — a sport that continues to grow rapidly in popularity both in the U.S. and around the world,” said Carl Capellas, AstroTurf’s director of soccer. “Partnering with such a prestigious club as LA Galaxy allows us to showcase our advanced turf technologies to a global audience.”
Tom Braun, president of business operations and chief operating officer of the LA Galaxy said, “The LA Galaxy are thrilled to collaborate and partner with AstroTurf. As a leader in the sports surface technology space, their commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability mirrors many of the LA Galaxy’s values as we work to advance the sport of soccer and other offerings here at Dignity Health Sports Park.”
As part of this partnership, AFE Sports, AstroTurf’s exclusive distributor in Southern California, will expertly manage the synthetic turf needs of the Galaxy to ensure top-tier performance.
