The SFMA announced its 2024 Board of Directors during the 35th annual Conference and Exhibition held in Daytona Beach, Florida. The board officially took office January 24 at the Annual Meeting.
The Executive Board is normally comprised of five officers, but with the resignation of the 2023 president-elect, the 2023 president will serve a second term and there will not be a past president seat in 2024.
Serving her second term as President is Sun Roesslein, CSFM, North Area Athletic Complex, Golden, CO. Adam Thoms, Ph.D., Iowa State University, Ames, IA fills the President-Elect office and Secretary/Treasurer is Alpha Jones, CSFM, Fayetteville Woodpeckers, Segra Stadium, Fayetteville, NC. Serving as the Commercial Vice President is Erin Wilder, Sod Solutions, Tallahassee, FL.
The SFMA Bylaws require that the Board have Directors from each segment of its voting members. The 2024 Directors include:

Professional Facilities Director……. This unexpired term vacated by Alpha Jones’ election to Secretary/Treasurer will be fulfilled by an appointment by the president.
Schools K-12 Director……………… Jeremy Driscoll, CSFM, Saint Mark’s High School, Wilmington, DE
The elections were conducted electronically by an independent audit firm. The board’s official first meeting will be held in March 2024.
