The Sierra Nevada Golf Course Superintendents Association is hosting a Zoom seminar on rotary and reel technology training. The seminar will be presented on Zoom July 25, 7-11 a.m. PST, and will also be available via recording.
Presenter Jim Nedin of Jim Nedin Consulting Services will explore the relationship between rotary and reel mower applications, quality of cut, and after-cut appearance. Understanding mowing technology concepts will aid in the development of reliable diagnostic practices for resolving after-cut appearance issues and improving turf quality. This training will review the engineering behind proper cutting unit set-up, presentation of qualified research that has identified best practices, and how to properly identify and resolve quality of cut and after-cut appearance issues.
