Virtual Urban Tree Summit

Montgomery Parks, part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is hosting the 9th Annual Urban Tree Summit online on December 2, 2020 from 8:45 – 3:15 p.m.  The summit brings together experts in the field of arboriculture to share insights and research on recent and innovative trends in urban and suburban landscaping.

Registration for the event is $25 and includes access to all presentations.  Continuing education credits are available.

 Presentations will focus on the health and welfare of our trees in our increasingly developed landscapes. This year’s presenters include, Nina Bassuk, professor, Cornell University; Greg Dahle, professor, West Virginia University; Guy Meilleur, principal arborist, Historic Tree Care; John Ball, professor, Michigan State University; and Earl Eutsler, associate director of urban forestry, DC Department of Transportation. 

As a leader in urban arboriculture and landscaping, Montgomery Parks continues to provide opportunities for arborists, landscape, environmental and green industry professionals, engineers, designers and interested citizens, to learn new techniques and concepts on what can be done to ensure the survival of trees in our built environment.
