A Turf and Ornamental Conference, presented by Penn State Extension, will offer information about the latest research and management in the green industry, as well as Pennsylvania Pesticide-Certification credits, Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association PCH credits and ISA certified arborist credits.
Scheduled for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 12, 2020 at Kutztown Grange Hall, S. Kemp St. and James Alley, Kutztown, Pa., the day-long green industry event will include six presentations and breakout sessions.
Titles include “Spotted Lanternfly Research Update for the Green Industry,” “A Closer View from the Plant Health Care Diagnostic Lab,” “Managing Landscapes for Pollinator Conservation in Pennsylvania,” “Getting Ornamentals to Thrive in Any Weather,” “Establishing a Lawn Weed Control Program that Works” and “Protecting Yourself from Vector-Borne Diseases.”
Anyone working in the green industry will find attending this event beneficial, according to conference coordinator Emelie Swackhamer, extension educator specializing in horticulture.
