Kubota Tractor Corporation recently showcased to its 1,100 dealers what “Ready for Anything” looks like with a preview of the all-new Kubota RTV-XG850 Sidekick, the company’s fastest utility vehicle yet. Around the farm to the backwoods, the new gas-powered Sidekick is ready for anything and is Kubota’s fastest, strongest, and most agile utility vehicle, with the same durability and quality that Kubota customers have come to expect from the best-selling diesel utility vehicle manufacturer in North America since 2004.1
Available at Kubota dealerships beginning spring of 2018, the new Sidekick features a quick and powerful 48-HP gasoline engine, with the speed to get there fast, up to 40 mph fast.

The Sidekick’s quick acceleration and high transport speed—up to 40 mph—come from a powerful 48-HP gasoline engine. Equipped with a worry-free Continuously Variable Transmission with Centrifugal Clutch (CVT Plus), the Sidekick’s rugged, water-cooled engine provides plenty of torque for a quick and smooth takeoff. The Idle Speed Control (ISC) and highland correction ensure stable power for any situation.
The Sidekick is built to handle a wide range of hauling jobs, from gear and supplies to tools and materials. And it can carry up to 15.2 cubic feet or half a ton (1,000 lbs./600 lbs. California models) in a rugged steel cargo box with optional electric hydraulic lift for fast and effortless dumping. Towing a boat or trailer is possible with the Sidekick and standard trailer hitch as it provides 2,000 lbs. towing capacity on level terrain and 1,550 lbs. on inclines.
From the new smart ergonomic digital panel, steering wheel and shift knob, to the bright LED headlights and a ton of convenience utility features, the Kubota Sidekick has everything. Available in Kubota dealerships in spring 2018, the Sidekick will be offered in four distinct colors – Kubota Orange, RealTree® AP Camo, and additional new colors green and black – all with expertly crafted details to enhance the travel experience, from bold headlights to rugged cargo panels.
A full-line of new attachments and accessory options, developed specifically for the Sidekick, will be available for customers to further enhance their RTV driving experience, adding even more comfort and customized preferences, including a premium audio system, LED headlights, sports roof or bed extender to carry more cargo, just to name a few.
