The Toro Company has partnered with The Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN) to provide Toro’s mowing and grounds care equipment to TCPN’s large pool of government purchasing agents nationwide. TCPN is a purchasing cooperative that works alongside national vendors allowing government entities to make compliant purchases at a valued rate.
TCPN is one of the fastest growing cooperative purchasing companies in the nation, and aims to provide greater efficiency to governmental and public entities in procuring goods. They will now offer select Toro equipment at competitive pricing to their members, and will work hand-in-hand with Toro to connect purchasing agents with the proper grounds care equipment.
“We are pleased to partner with TCPN in this endeavor to provide top-quality equipment to public entities,” explains Paula Sliefert, senior marketing manager for The Toro Company. “With TCPN’s help, we look forward to serving these agencies with solutions that best fit their needs.”
TCPN’s lead government agency uses a competitive solicitation process consistent with applicable procurement laws and regulations, and a significant portion of TCPN’s revenue goes to promote a variety of educational initiatives.
“TCPN is pleased to partner with Toro on a grounds keeping solution. The entire Toro portfolio of products, including mowers, irrigation, utility vehicles and more are available through this contract which was publicly allocated by a lead government agency, Region 4 Educational Service Center,” says Chris Penny, Vice President of TCPN. “Public agencies and non-profits are able to leverage their spend, all while receiving the high levels of quality and customer service that Toro is known for.”
The Toro Company’s contract with TCPN took effect on October 1, 2014.
