Ball, Barkley win groundskeeper awards in MiLB
In an announcement made by the International League, Gwinnett Braves sports turf manager Chris “Butter” Ball has been voted the IL Sports Turf Manager of the Year for 2013. Ball, who just completed his second season maintaining the Coolray Field playing surface, is the first Sports Turf Manager from Gwinnett to win the award.
The Connecticut Tigers, Class A Short-Season affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, are proud to announce director of facilities and turf management Bryan Barkley has been selected as the 2013 recipient of the New York-Penn League Groundskeeper of the Year Award.
