The bi-annual list, which currently covers 2011-2012, is the game’s oldest ranking and is considered the leading symbol of golf course excellence and integrity. The rankings are based on course evaluations by more than 1,000 volunteer panelists throughout the United States.

“What’s also interesting is that the highest concentration of America’s Greatest Courses that use Jacobsen is at the very top, where some of the game’s most sacred turf resides,” said Chris Vernon, VP of Marketing and Product Management at Jacobsen. “In fact, almost 75% of the list’s top 25 courses use Jacobsen equipment.”

One of the most beloved and renowned golf courses at the top of the list is, of course, Pebble Beach Golf Links®, which is maintained exclusively with Jacobsen equipment. Not only is Pebble Beach Golf Links® No. 6 on Golf Digest’s list of America’s Greatest Golf Courses, it is also ranked No. 1 on the magazine’s list of 100 Greatest Public Courses.

America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses are using Jacobsen equipment like the Eclipse 322 riding greens mower and the Eclipse series of walking greens mower, innovative mowers that give course managers the power to customize and control mower settings to varying course conditions.

“Although we are very happy to see Jacobsen maintains a majority of the top courses, we are committed to helping all golf courses succeed, regardless of budget, conditions or level of prestige,” said David Withers, President of Jacobsen. “We’re doing that by providing service that matches our world-class machines and standing behind them for life.”
