When Dr. Jason Kruse, Assistant Profes-sor / Turfgrass Specialist – Culture & Management at the University of Florida used a hand-held infrared thermometer to measure the surface temperatures of natural turfgrass, artificial turf, asphalt and concrete he revealed some interesting results.


He conducted the study on a day when the ambient temperature was 94 degrees Fahrenheit.
