“Communicating Your Snow Removal Plans and Progress” – Daniel Schied, Horticulture and Grounds Manager at the University of Rochester, will discuss the importance of documenting snow plans and maintaining effective customer communication.
“Ice Melting Options: Is Treated Salt Right for You?” – David Cook, Sales and Marketing Manager for Innovative Municipal U.S. Inc., a de-icing materials company, will review ice melting options including performance characteristics, application rates, and economic and environmental concerns.

“Panel Discussion – Snow Removal: Route Planning and Record Keeping” – Jim Hornung, Jr., CSP, Vice President, Elbers Landscape Service, Inc. and Great Lakes Athletic Fields and Rick Kier, CNP, CSP, President and Owner, Pro Scapes Inc., will offer participants a variety of methods to organize their snow removal work. Attendees will learn how to keep documentation records and protect themselves from liability while performing the tasks of winter risk management.
