Profile Products has announced that Michael Robeson, P.E., the company's manager of technical services has recently been named a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).

Profile Products employees achieve certification

BUFFALO GROVE, IL—Profile Products has announced that Michael Robeson, P.E., the company’s manager of technical services has recently been named a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).

Additionally, Profile’s Marc S. Theisen has been accredited as a Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ). Theisen, who joined Profile Products in 2003, is vice president of erosion control solutions and is also certified as a CPESC.

Robeson was hired by Profile Products in 2007 after working at the Colorado State University Engineering Research Center. He is certified as a professional engineer.

A Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality is recognized as an expert in addressing issues affecting storm water quality. Such activities include the development and review of NPDES permit applications, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), installation and inspection of storm water management practices, as well as other related activities such as assisting regulators, authoring handbooks or educating the public.

The Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control designation recognizes expert knowledge in the principles, practices, and legislation of erosion and sediment control. CPESC activities include the development and review of Erosion and Sediment Control Plans, installation of erosion and sediment control practices and other related activities such as assisting regulators, authoring handbooks or educating the public.

The CPSWQ program is administered by CPESC, Inc., whose founding members are the Soil and Water Conservation Society and the International Erosion Control Association (IECA), two leading non-profit organizations dedicated to providing resources, training and more for professionals in the erosion, storm water and sediment control fields.
