New spring athletic field maintenance calendars from STMA
The athletic field maintenance calendar series concludes with the spring season. STMA has compiled a calendar for each climatic region to outline specific maintenance practices necessary for March, April, and May. These calendars advise timing, amounts, and frequencies to keep your athletic fields in top playing condition.

As of 2011, the estimated total amount of synthetic turf installed in North America annually conserves more than three billion gallons of water, reduces smog emissions and eliminates close to a billion pounds of fertilizers and pesticides. The industry has also recycled more than 105 million used tires.
ASBA awards program now open
Awards are presented in various categories: Sports Fields, Tennis Courts, Running Tracks and Indoor Multi-Purpose Facilities. Within each category there are subdivisions; for example, the Fields category recognizes Single Field Facilities and Multiple-Field Facilities.

The exam will be given on Sunday, March 6. The meeting will be held at the Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix, Arizona.
