Shaw Industries Group Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company, will be a major corporate sponsor for Chesterfield County’s SportsQuest complex, providing 1.7 million square feet of synthetic turf. The announcement was made yesterday at a Chesterfield Board of Supervisors meeting. “It is the single largest synthetic turf transaction in history,” said SportsQuest CEO Steve Burton. The turf will be used to build 17 athletic fields and two practice areas.
