STEC Equipment welcomed Trent Manning as its new director of equipment solutions. Manning brings to the role more than 28 years of experience in the golf industry.
He earned national recognition for his work in turf equipment management. In 2018, he was named Most Valuable Technician by the GCSAA. In 2022, he received the Edwin Budding Award, one of the turf industry’s highest honors for equipment management professionals.
Manning began working in the golf industry at age 16, and went on to build his career as an equipment manager at Ansley Golf Club and Settindown Creek Golf Club.
He has completed numerous professional certifications, including those in small engines, electrical and reel theory, and the GCSAA Equipment Management Certification Programs Levels 1 and 2. He earned his CTEM designation in the program’s first year.
“Trent is someone who has spent his career pushing the turf industry forward,” said David Taylor, president and CEO of STEC Equipment. “His accumulated knowledge and relationships in the industry will be a huge asset to our team and our customers.”
Outside of his work on the course, Manning is known as the creator and host of the Reel Turf Techs podcast.
In his new role with STEC Equipment, Manning will focus on providing equipment solutions and support for turf professional, helping them improve maintenance operations and equipment performance.
