The Motz Group partnered with four local organizations for its annual Purpose Day. The entire company hits pause for a day and gets out into its local communities for an expansive day-long service project.
Over the years, the day of service has comprised of building mini-pitches, cleaning up baseball fields, installing mini-golf courses, painting fences, power washing statues, and many activities in between.
This year, the team of employee owners was able to spread out across four sites in southwest Ohio.
- THE ALOIS ALZHEIMER CENTER (WINTON WOODS): Trimmed overgrown plants and trees in three separate courtyards, pressure-washed the building’s exterior, and assisted with activities with the residents.
- GORMAN HERITAGE FARM (EVENDALE): Spent the day creating, building, and transforming their space. Projects included mud kitchens, animal areas, compost bins, and clearing trails.
- RED RIDING HOOD RESCUE PROJECT (MIDDLETOWN): Cleared fence lines, built perimeter fencing, painted new vet clinic building, and constructed four shade decks for the wolf dogs.
- THE ONION BAG LITTER PREVENTION (BATAVIA): Hit the water and the surrounding grounds, with one crew cleaning up the lake and the other clearing litter from East Fork State Park’s grounds.
