The Sports Field Management Association (SFMA) provided an update to members regarding its CEO search (following the SFMA Board of Directors May 23 decision not to renew the contract of then CEO, Laura Simmons, MBA, CAE). In a letter to members on July 29, SFMA President Sun Roesslein, CSFM stated the following:
I’m writing to provide an update on our search for SFMA’s next CEO. The Board of Directors recently met and developed a comprehensive plan to ensure a smooth transition and identify a strong leader who aligns with our association’s goals.
A search committee has been formed and is finalizing the ideal candidate profile and job description. We’ll continue to keep you informed throughout the process.
In the meantime, I want to assure you that SFMA’s operations and conference planning are running smoothly thanks to our dedicated staff and committee chairs.
