TenCate announced the completion of an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Unanime Sport, a provider of synthetic turf and other sports surfaces in France that includes Eurofield, Art Dan, Fieldservices and SPTM.
The founders of Unanime, Susanne and Gilles Thillaye, will continue to be shareholders and will also continue to lead the company.
Michael Vogel, chief executive officer of TenCate, said, “We are delighted that we are continuing our longstanding partnership with Unanime and the founders Susanne and Gilles Thillaye. They have established a very strong market position with potential for future growth, based on the quality of their products and service offering. We are proud that, through delivery of TenCate’s synthetic grass yarn and primary backing, we have been able to support this growth.”
Susanne and Gilles Thillaye of Unanime said, “This transaction marks a historic step for Unanime. We have built strong relationships with TenCate since the very foundation of Unanime. Continuing this journey under the same banner seemed natural for us. Thanks to TenCate’s incredible platform, we are confident that Unanime will further strengthen its leading position on the French market and deliver the best quality for our clients. This transaction is also a fantastic opportunity for our employees.”
