The 49th Virginia Tech Turfgrass Research Field Day and Expo will be held August 30, 2022, at the Virginia Tech Turfgrass Research Center, 615 Southgate Dr., Blacksburg, VA. On-site registration begins at 7 a.m. Field tours begin at 8 a.m.

- Golf, sports and LCO turf research
- National Turfgrass Evaluation Program trials
- “Variety Evaluation” Program B
- Weed management
- Disease management
- Insect management
Technical sessions:
- Pesticide Safety
- Nutrient Best Management Practices
- Enhancing pollinator protection
(CSFM and CGCS CEUs are available.)
There will be a lunch at noon, sponsored by Bulldog Turf Equipment.
At 1:30 p.m. on August 30 is a 9-hole “Goatley Rules” golf tournament at the Virginia Tech Golf Course (Requires a separate registration of $30, and space is limited).
There will also be a networking happy hour/dinner on August 29 at Rising Silo Brewery.
