Steve Bush, CSFM, CFB, founder of Bush Sports Turf, passes

Steve Bush, CSFM, CFB, founder of Bush Sports Turf in Milan, Ill., passed away January 22. He was 57 years old.

Bush was a Certified Sports Field Manager (CSFM), a Certified Field Builder (CFB), a certified professional in erosion control, an agronomist, and spent more than 20 years in the turfgrass industry. He was a speaker at industry events, and a contributor to SportsField Management and other publications. 

Bush Sports Turf has been a leader and innovator in athletic field construction and renovations for more than 25 years, collaborating with MLB, NFL and MLS teams, Big Ten and Big XII universities (and other collegiate teams), and PGA golf courses.

Steve and Bush Sports Turf have won multiple awards throughout the years, including the Golden Cleat Award from the Iowa Sports Turf Managers Association, and both state and national Field of the Year awards.
