Johnston Seed hires Wang as VP of sales & marketing

Johnston Seed Company recently announced the hiring of Chris Wang as VP of Sales and Marketing in the company’s Enid, OK headquarters where he’s responsible for leading and motivating the sales and marketing staff, the development and implementation of marketing and sales plan, as well as all branding, communication and market product development.

Wang comes to the Johnston Seed Company with more than 30 years of experience in agricultural economics, and has an extensive background in diagnostics, vaccines, animal health, biotechnology and in the pharmaceutical industry. Previously, Wang was vice president of sales and marketing of VMRD, Inc. in Pullman, Washington, a veterinary medical research and development company.

Wang holds a master’s degree in agricultural economics from Renmin University of China and a MBA in business administration, management and marketing from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and agricultural economics from Zhejiang Agricultural University in China.
