Greg Parker is new brand/specification manager for Underhill

Ed Underhill, president of Underhill International, has named Greg Parker the new brand and specifications manager for the company’s 2Wire and Mirage Series product lines. Parker will oversee research and development of 2Wire and Mirage irrigation systems, while providing technical training and marketing support.

Underhill 2Wire products include the Sapien controller, Novo 2Wire Converter, 2Wire decoders and a range of accessories. The Mirage series features Underhill’s long-throw Mirage sprinkler heads and Mirage Total Solutions Kits with design plans and components for a sports field irrigation system.

“Bringing Greg on board will help us fast-track the development of new 2Wire and Mirage products,” said Underhill.

“The markets for both 2Wire and Mirage are expanding and Underhill will be offering innovative products and services for professionals who install those systems,” he said.

A licensed landscape architect, Parker most recently worked with HydroPoint Data Systems, Inc, where he lead the development of the first commercial weather-based controller and internet-managed system. He was also affiliated with Toro as a product manager and oversaw worldwide technical support for Toro’s LTC golf central satellite and the development of the residential/commercial controller product line.

He was an instructor at Toro University for more than 14 years and has lectured on irrigation technology at colleges and universities in southern California. Parker graduated from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, and has also worked as a practicing landscape architect on commercial and military projects.
