Multiple Rain Bird Academy classes have been approved by New Jersey's Landscape Irrigation Contractor Licensing Board for Continuing Education Credits.

Rain Bird courses good for credits in New Jersey

Multiple Rain Bird Academy classes have been approved by New Jersey’s Landscape Irrigation Contractor Licensing Board for Continuing Education Credits (CEC).  Each course consists of high-level irrigation training, providing landscape professionals with expert instruction. Attendees are taught the newest irrigation installation methods, efficient irrigation maintenance and troubleshooting and best practices in water-efficient irrigation design.  


The following courses are now approved for Continuing Education Credits in New Jersey:

#197 Irrigation Technician Course (7 CEC) 
#300 Introduction to Irrigation and Installation (4 CEC) 
#201 Landscape Irrigation Design Process (3.5 CEC) 
#305 Topics in Water Efficient Irrigation Design & Scheduling (3.5 CEC) 
#3204 Low Volume Irrigation Installation and Maintenance (3.7 CEC)

All of the approved courses will be offered at Rain Bird Academy’s Professional Irrigation Training Camp (PITC) in Atlantic City, NJ at the Tropicana Casino and Resort, January 23 – 27, 2012. Class sizes are limited, with most classes having no more than 20 students.


“We’ve put a great deal of effort into the development of our training programs,” said Robert Pfeil, manager of training services for Rain Bird Services Corporation. “As a result, we’re ready to help irrigation professionals in New Jersey achieve the continuing education credits they need to provide outstanding service to both current and future customers.”


Jeremy Mansell, senior technical trainer for Rain Bird Services Corporation, says that the approved classes will offer multiple benefits. “Not only will attendees be eligible to receive continuing education credits from the State of New Jersey, but they’re also eligible to receive continuing education units for numerous other organizations,” Mansell said. “These organizations include the Irrigation Association, United States Green Building Council and the Association of Professional Landscape Designers.”
