PROFILE Products LLC is pleased to announce that Kurt Chirbas, Western manager market development, recently achieved the prestigious designation as a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).

Chirbas, also a registered Professional Engineer (PE), is based in Sacramento, Calif., and joined Profile in 2008. He has 26 years of experience within the civil, environmental and construction fields providing services that include marketing, distribution, manufacturing, research and development, and design and construction. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University.
The CPESC designation recognizes expert knowledge in the principles, practices and legislation of erosion and sediment control. CPESC activities include the development and review of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Erosion and Sediment Control plans, installation of erosion and sediment control practices and other related activities such as assisting regulators, and educating the public.
The CPESC program is administered by EnviroCert International Inc., the umbrella organization of CPESC Inc. EnviroCert International is recognized internationally as a certification body for professionals in the erosion and sediment control, and storm water industries. Other EnviroCert International certification programs include the Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ) and the Certified Erosion Sediment and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI).
