Stantec names new leaders of sport design group

The Sport Group of design firm Stantec has promoted three staff members into new leadership positions:


Meg Buczynski has been promoted to Associate and will assist in managing and promoting Stantec’s Sport Group. A graduate of Brown University, Buczynski is trained as a civil engineer and has worked on recent athletic field projects at Boston College, Harvard University, Clark University, Mount Holyoke College, and Tufts University, among others.


David Nardone and Mark Novak will now manage the division as the Sport Group Leaders. Nardone has been a landscape architect for over 14 years and has been involved in a number of high-profile athletic design projects throughout North America, including the current effort to reshape Harvard University’s athletic campus and the athletic facility designs for the massive Penn Park project at the University of Pennsylvania. Nardone is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.


Novak, also a landscape architect, has designed the athletic complexes for dozens of high schools and higher education institutions in the US and Canada, including ongoing projects at MIT and Villanova University. In addition, he worked on the team to install synthetic turf at Gillette Stadium in 2006. Novak holds a degree in landscape architecture from Cornell University.


Stantec Sport has designed hundreds of high school, college, and professional sporting venues all over the world, many of which have received national award recognition.
