Research says SYNC can extend PGR performance

With years of proven performance as an effective fungicide activator, new Penn State University research indicates that SYNC from Precision Laboratories is equally adept at enhancing the performance of plant growth regulators.

The 2008 study determined the effectiveness of SYNC when tank-mixed with Primo Maxx®, a plant growth regulator used to reduce turfgrass clippings and enhance playing surfaces on golf courses. Data confirms that when used with Primo Maxx, SYNC reduced clipping production and increased plant growth regulation when compared to Primo Maxx alone. Specific details of the study can be found at precisionlab.com/sync.

In addition, turf professionals who use SYNC to enhance the performance of plant growth regulators should not expect to increase their PGR rates to achieve this longer lasting, more effective regulation.

“At a time when budgets are under a great deal of scrutiny, we’re incredibly excited to offer superintendents a product that does double duty,” said Don Spier, vice president of turf and ornamentals at Precision Laboratories. “Not only does it extend and enhance the performance of fungicides and PGR’s, but it is an effective resource management tool, meaning superintendents can save time, water and labor.”

To showcase the effectiveness of SYNC on both fungicides and PGR’s, Precision Laboratories is extending a risk-free opportunity to superintendents who agree to take the SYNC Performance Challenge. Now through August 31, 2010, superintendents can take the challenge and monitor their results. If they aren’t completely satisfied, Precision will refund the purchase price of the product used. “We take tremendous pride in offering products that are university tested and trusted by superintendents under real-world conditions,” explained Spier. “That’s why we’re so confident to extend a challenge like this to superintendents who can benefit from a product like SYNC.”
