On Feb. 1, Wright Manufacturing announced the appointment of Shawn Wolf to president — a position held by Bill Wright since he founded the company in 1981.
“I have had the pleasure of working closely with Shawn during his tenure as chief operating officer at Wright for the past eight years,” said Bill Wright. “He has successfully and effectively taken on all of the management and most of the ‘presidential’ responsibilities, which makes this appointment more about recognition than an actual change in his duties. His title of president reflects the reality of the role Shawn has had in recent years.
“Shawn has done an outstanding job of building and mentoring our incredible team. I have the utmost confidence in Shawn’s ability to provide the leadership needed for the long-term success of Wright Manufacturing. As I continue on as of chairman of the board, the focus of my activities will be defining the company’s vision, planning and consulting on new products with our skilled engineering team.”
Wolf’s responsibilities will include driving the day-to-day operations and building on the strength of relationships with the company’s channels — dealers, distributors, and professional landscapers.
Wolf came to Wright Manufacturing with more than 10 years of executive experience. He has a BS in business administration from Bryan College and an MS in management from Eastern University. He is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in strategic leadership at Regent University.
