Scag Power Equipment recently made several key personnel changes, including the promotion of John Crowson to president, effective March 1. A 23-year veteran of the outdoor power equipment industry and a member of Scag’s sales and marketing team since coming to Scag in 1992, Crowson succeeds Jerry Bailey, who is retiring after a 34-year career with Metalcraft of Mayville and Scag Power Equipment.
Shortly after the announcement of his appointment, Crowson promoted Chris Frame to director of marketing and technical services and Dennis Opalacz to national sales manager. Frame, who joined Scag in 1996, will be responsible for the activities of both the marketing and technical service groups at Scag. Opalacz, who came to Scag in 2006, will be charged with the supervision of three Scag regional sales managers and the general sales efforts to Scag distributors nationwide.
“The latest personnel changes at Scag Power Equipment will continue to guide the company down the road of success that it has enjoyed for years, and will serve Scag Power Equipment and their distributors well into the future,” Bailey said.
