Sod Solutions appointed Mike Pope as its chief growth and strategy officer (CGSO), effective September 12, 2025.
Pope brings extensive experience and deep relationships within the turfgrass industry. In this role, he will spearhead strategic growth initiatives to strengthen Sod Solutions’ core business units, Turfgrass Licensing, Turf Logistics and Sod Solutions Professionals.

In his new role, Pope will focus on:
- Expanding the Sod Solutions licensing network by adding new farms and introducing advanced turfgrass varieties.
- Advancing Turf Logistics as a leading farm management platform, delivering tools that streamline operations, improve scheduling and dispatch and help sod producers maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Growing the Sod Solutions Professionals network by leveraging relationships with farms and professional installers to meet increasing market demand.
Pope’s appointment marks an exciting chapter in Sod Solutions’ commitment to delivering innovative turfgrass solutions and technology designed to make sod farms more efficient and competitive.
Pope brings more than 21 years of experience spanning both wholesale and resale. He played an instrumental role in expanding sod sales into big box stores and has built lasting relationships across the industry through his work in retail, golf and sports. Before entering the turfgrass industry, Pope worked with Broucqsault for ten years in the nursery industry on the West Coast.
