Makita U.S.A. released two new outdoor power equipment products – a 40V edger and a 40V 24-in. articulating pole hedge trimmer.

The 40V max XGT 24-in. Articulating Pole Hedge Trimmer features a shaft that articulates with a commercial-grade design featuring 24-in. double-sided blades and a 115-degree working range for trimming of overhead and low-lying hedges. This kit version features a 40V max XGT 4.0Ah battery, and Rapid Optimum Charger.
The 40V max XGT Edger is engineered with the high torque power of a 31cc edger and is designed with an open guard and an 8-in. blade. The Edger represents a significant upgrade to professional landscapers and lawn care pros looking to add another cordless tool to their truck or trailer.
Makita’s XGT System
These new tools are part of Makita XGT, an expanding system of 40V max and 80V max cordless equipment and tools. XGT gives users one system, from core handheld tools like drills and impact drivers to professional grade outdoor power equipment – all powered by 40V max batteries.
