Camden Yards and Rolling Road Golf Club are offering a unique dual turf internship opportunity. This internship is a 12-week program, six weeks at Camden Yards and six weeks at Rolling Road Golf Club that will offer candidates a unique experience within both the sports field and golf course areas of the turf industry. Home field to the Baltimore Orioles, Oriole Park at Camden Yards (OPACY) is an iconic ballpark that forever changed baseball. Built in 1992, Camden Yards is located in the inner harbor area of downtown Baltimore. OPACY is host to 81 home games in a regular season, as well as many extra events and concerts. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of sports field management. The internship portion with the Baltimore Orioles will consist of the following:
Maintaining Kentucky bluegrass in a transition zone

Rolling Road Golf Club (RRGC) was originally built in 1919 and designed by two-time British Open winner, inductee into the Worlds Golf Hall of Fame and internationally acclaimed golf course architect, Willie Park Jr. The golf course is set on 89 acres of rolling terrain in Catonsville, Md. Currently the Golf Club is involved in a Master Plan to bring back the original charm from the early 1900s.
The RRGC portion of the internship will cover:
Daily course setup
Calibration of sprayers and fertilizer equipment
Chemical and fertilizer applications
Water management in the Mid-Atlantic
Irrigation upkeep and repairs
Working closely with superintendent and assistant superintendent
Leading small crews on golf course projects
Working with equipment manager
