Since the COVID-19 pandemic began earlier this year, many normal business practices have been upended and new ways of doing things have emerged. For many, this has led to working from home for the past several months. For BBVA Stadium Turf Manager Russell Rafter, who uses Kubota equipment to maintain a championship-level playing surface for Major League Soccer’s Houston Dynamos, it has been business as usual.
“This pandemic has affected a lot of people,” said Rafter, who holds a degree in Turfgrass Science from Texas A&M University. “But from a grass standpoint, I am still coming in to keep up with the daily maintenance of mowing, irrigation and fertilizers needed.”
