Safer Athletic Fields for Everyone (SAFE) has several programs for scholarships and grants that are due by Oct. 15.
Scholarships and grants:
- Are you in a two- or four-year turfgrass management program? Submit for a SAFE Scholarship, including the Dr. Watson scholarships sponsored by The Toro Company.
- Did you work as an intern this past summer? Get reimbursed $1000 from the Gary Vanden Berg Internship Grant.
- Are you an STMA member who has a college student NOT pursuing a degree in turfgrass management? You are eligible to submit for the Darian Daily Legacy Award.
- Are you, or do you know a Sports Field Manager seeking continuing education? Submit or nominate someone for the Terry Mellor Continuing Education Grant, sponsored by Turface Athletics.
- Do you know someone who isn’t a member of STMA? Direct them to apply for a Leo Goertz Membership Grant, sponsored by Pioneer Athletics
