Last April, Louisiana Tech University unfortunately had its softball, baseball and soccer fields decimated by a tornado incident. After careful consideration, officials decided the new FieldTurf DoublePlay and TripleThreat Series would be the ideal choice for J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park (baseball) and Lady Techster Softball Complex (softball). Construction is planned to be completed for the 2021 baseball and softball seasons. The move is a significant investment for the program and commitment to its student-athletes.
“The partnership with FieldTurf will only enhance our new facility,” said Softball Coach, Maria Winn. “Throughout the process of selecting the company that would provide the playing surface, our coaching staff felt comfortable and confident that FieldTurf would deliver a state-of-the-art product. This is just one more aspect that makes this softball complex the premier one in Conference USA and one of the best in our region.”
