Georgia STMA (GSTMA) will hold a meeting Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Atlanta United Training Facility, 861 Franklin Gateway SE, Marietta, Ga.
The event will feature networking and time with GSTMA sponsors. Featured speakers include:
- Jimmy Simpson, CSFM, facilities coordinator, Town of Cary, N.C., and STMA president-elect, will provide an introduction to STMA and some helpful tips for managing baseball, soccer and lacrosse heavy wear areas.
- Clint Waltz, Ph.D., extension turfgrass specialist, UGA Griffin Campus, will present “Agronomic Forecast and Weed Management for Bermuda Sports Fields 2020.”
- Mike Watson, head groundskeeper, Atlanta United, will present “Natural Grass and Synthetic Turf Management at the Atlanta United Training Facility.”
