Prepping Parkview Field: The weeks of work you don’t see

“Thursday marks one week from the TinCaps’ April 4 Opening Day at Parkview Field.

Since the stadium was built, the field has won numerous national field awards.

A group of five oversees the day-to-day maintenance of the field. Head Groundskeeper Keith Winter leads them. Winter says getting the field ready after winter is a tough task because of the battle with the weather. There’s a whole host of work done on the infield, warning track and grass that people don’t see.
