Poor drainage means new surface after just 2 years

According to a report by Kelly Lyell, Fort Collins Coloradoan, Colorado State University’s 2-year-old football stadium will have a new playing field next fall at no additional cost, school officials said. The artificial turf field, installed in spring 2017 during the initial construction of Canvas Stadium, did not meet the “required percolation performance specifications,” CSU officials said. In layman’s terms, the field didn’t drain water well enough. Now, the stadium’s builders will have to replace it at their own expense.
