The Sports Turf Managers Association’s Environmental Committee has created two environmental infographic tools that are designed to provide easy-to-consume information to non-technical audiences. The goal is to communicate the care and concern for the environment by sports turf managers and how that reflects in their management practices. You can download them here or access them online.
Provide them to your communications department so that they can broadly distribute them to your sports facilities’ participants and fans. The infographics are presented in two formats: a condensed version and a more detailed version that cites the data source.
Coming later this month is a second set of infographics that is focusing on the costs of building and maintaining natural grass fields, and heat and hardness factors as compared to synthetic fields. These are designed to provide comparative information for you to share with other decision-makers to help to defray myths about the costs of building and maintaining both surface types.
