Maximize your purchasing power with NJPA contract

From Toro’s “Grounds for Success” newsletter:

Planning to update your fleet soon? Consider leveraging the purchasing power of Toro’s national cooperative contract with the National Joint Powers Alliance® (NJPA). With this partnership between Toro and NJPA, more than 50,000 member municipalities, educational institutions and non-profit organizations across North America will have increased access to a diverse lineup of Toro and BOSS products.

What’s Included
The four-year contract was awarded in August 2017 and includes competitive pricing on a wide range of equipment, including:

  • Toro commercial turf maintenance equipment and utility vehicles
  • Toro commercial, golf and residential irrigation solutions
  • Toro landscape contractor products
  • BOSS snow and ice management products

How You Can Benefit
Taking advantage of the NJPA contract to purchase equipment for your fleet has several benefits. First, you can save a lot of time and resources by not having to go through a formal bid process on your own. NJPA is a government agency, which allows other public agencies to “piggyback” on its contracts. Prospective suppliers must complete a competitive application and selection process before the contract is awarded, so the work has already been done on your behalf.

Second, you have the opportunity to choose from quality brands like Toro, so you get the equipment and support you really want. And best of all, there is no cost to join NJPA. All governmental, educational and non-profit entities qualify to become a member — simply complete the online application. More than 250 NJPA contracts are available for members to utilize.

Toro’s NJPA contract is valid for use in both the United States and Canada, which marks the first cooperative contract option applicable in Canada for Toro turf care and landscape equipment.

“We’re excited to have a company like Toro on board,” said Tony Glenz, lead contract administrator at NJPA. “As one of the leaders in grounds maintenance, they have a quality product offering, and this contract award definitely fills a need that our members have been asking for.”

Toro’s cooperative contract with NJPA is classified under contract number #062117-TTC. The contract is valid for NJPA members in all areas where local laws and statutes allow cooperative purchasing.
