Profile Products, manufacturer of Turface Athletics products for sports fields, today announced it is sponsoring a Turface Athletics “Field Day” educational event on Thursday, November 10 at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida. The free event, open to coaches, field maintenance professionals, and volunteers working in public or private athletics and/or parks and recreation, will showcase the latest techniques and practices in field and turf management. Demonstrations from a variety of equipment and product manufacturers will be included.
The Turface Athletics “Field Day” will be held exclusively on the playing field at Marlins Park, home to the Miami Marlins Major League Baseball team. Field management staff from the Miami Marlins will be leading and/or assisting in several of the sessions.
“Technologies and practices in athletic field management continue to evolve at an amazing pace. It’s difficult for groundskeepers and facilities managers to keep up with the changes, which is why Turface Athletics makes such a commitment to education,” said Josh Marden, Market Development Manager for Turface Athletics and a former professional groundskeeper. “Our Field Day event is a unique opportunity—not just because of the experts involved, but also because it will be held on the field at Marlins Park, one of the most beautiful diamonds in all of Major League Baseball.”
Chad Mulholland, Grounds Director for the Miami Marlins, will help lead Turface Athletics Field Day at Marlins Park. The day’s agenda will include seminars on soil management, irrigation, fertilization, infield mixes, mound and plate maintenance/renovation, turf grass management and more. In addition to best practices and product presentations, representatives from Allett Mowers, a top UK sports/professional mower maker, will showcase their company’s mowers in a live demonstration on the Marlins field.

Turface Athletics “Field Day” at Marlins Park will take place from 9AM to 2PM on Thursday, November 10. Lunch will be provided at no charge, and free parking is provided at the park.
