To better serve valued customers and grow business in the western United States, Calcium Products has added Paul Cushing to the professional turf sales team. He will be representing Calcium Products in Denver, Colo. and west of the Rocky Mountains.
Cushing comes to Calcium Products after an extensive 27-year career in turf management, mostly in the golf industry. He has managed four top-100 golf courses in the U.S., including Torrey Pines, Shadow Creek, Riviera and Edgewood Tahoe, and hosted ten PGA Tour events and a PGA Championship as a golf course superintendent.
“I’m excited about introducing more customers to Calcium Products,” says Cushing. “Remediating sodic soils is an important issue here in the west, and we have superior products that can really help people and contribute to beautiful turf surfaces.”
Existing and potential Calcium Products customers can expect passion and agronomic expertise when working with Cushing.

In addition to his responsibilities for Calcium Products, Cushing recently started an independent agronomic consulting business for golf course and sports turf managers.
Cushing most recently worked for more than five years as the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations for the City of San Diego managing a 98-person staff and five golf courses, which included Torrey Pines Golf Course.
