Deere named Preferred Sports Turf Equipment Supplier to MiLB

Minor League Baseball announced a strategic partnership with John Deere. Under the agreement, John Deere will be the “Preferred Sports Turf Equipment Supplier” of Minor League Baseball and teams will be incentivized to use John Deere equipment in ballparks throughout the country. Deere & Company currently sponsors only one other sports property, the PGA TOUR, making this agreement significant for both organizations.

“We are very pleased to form a relationship with John Deere, a company whose principles and core values align with those of Minor League Baseball,” said Minor League Baseball Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer David Wright. “Both organizations are incredibly active in local communities and share a genuine desire to give back.”

Headquartered in Moline, Illinois, Deere & Company was founded in 1837 by blacksmith and inventor John Deere. Today, it has grown into one of the world’s most admired businesses. The leaping deer trademark has been a symbol of quality John Deere products for more than 135 years.

“John Deere is very excited about our new relationship with Minor League Baseball,” said Rob Jeske, General Manager – Marketing & Corporate Business Group for John Deere Golf & Sports. “We look forward to working together in serving both the teams, and their local communities, for many years to come.”

“John Deere is an incredible brand with a long and storied history,” added Wright. “The John Deere brand, combined with the endemic nature and scale of our sport, provides the foundation for a successful strategic partnership.”
